FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: Batch One Tickets on Sale – 1.2 million tickets requested within 24 hours

The year kicked off with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ batch one tickets going on sale between 19 January to 8 February, 2022 13:00 Qatar Local Time. World Cup 2022 has generated huge demand for tickets around the world with upwards of 1.2 million tickets requested within the first 24 hours. FIFA reported that more than 140,000 tickets were requested for the finals to be held on 18 December 2022. Another 80,000 were requested for the opening match on 21 November 2022.

The highest demand came from fans within GCC with Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE, the Americas including Argentina, Mexico, the USA, Brazil as well as England, France and India.

More than 140,000 tickets have been requested for the Final due to take place on 18 December 2022 at Lusail Stadium, and over 80,000 for the opening match. In the batch one sales period, fans can submit submit their ticket applications at any time, since the ticket allocation will happen only after the application period ends on 8 February 2022. It is likely that the application for the number of tickets will exceed the available inventory. In such a situation the ticket allocation will be based on random selection draw.

Given the high interest from all across the world, FIFA urges the football fans that ticket sales are only available through https://www.fifa.com/tickets.

Please note, all applicants will be notified the outcome of their applications by Tuesday, 8 March 2022, along with the steps and deadline to pay for allocated tickets.

Community Clubs

PA COMMUNITY CLUBS – FREE ADMISSIONS
People’s Association started screening select football world cup matches live at community clubs since 2010. However, 2018 is the first time all 64 matches of the tournament at 55 community clubs across the island . PA in partnership with Singtel, Starhub and Singapore Pools will bring all matches to the residents for free and are expecting a turnout of more than 600,000 people. SAFRA

SAFRA CLUBS:  FREE FOR SAFRA MEMBERS
If you are a member, SAFRA is going all out to make their clubs a comfortable place to catch all the live action. SAFRA members will enjoy special seating, F&B promotions, and fan packs to name a few. Non-SAFRA members enjoyed the screenings for a small few last world cup… and this time won’t be too different either. While SAFRA will not screen all the matches, for a complete schedule, refer to their here. Sports hub

SINGAPORE SPORTS HUB: FREE ADMISSION
The hub is planning a full fledged football festival and admission is absolutely free! The festivities will be concentrated around Sports Hub’s OCBC Square where the matches will be screened on a large LED screen. While not all group matches will be screened, ALL matches in the knockout stages will be available at this picturesque location. Adding on to the festive spirit, the screenings will be accompanied by live music acts and performances. F&B stalls will also be available to complete the party atmosphere. McDONALD’s: PAY FOR THEIR FOODIE DELIGHTS AND ENJOY A FREE SCREENING
22 McDonald’s outlets island-wide will be screening the matches live. While this is not a completely free option, you can enjoy the matches at a seriously low premium… Enjoy their World Cup special treats like Chicken Pizza Kicks and All Day breakfast options while to enjoy some nail-biting finishes. Top Bars and Restaurants to watch World Cup (2018) Football Matches in Singapore

PictureWith World Cup 2018 just around the corner, it is time to make plans… and plans cannot be made without knowing where to eat or drink! Let’s take a recce of what’s available around Singapore that might tempt you to spend an evening with friends and family enjoying an exciting football match.

Here’s a list of restaurants and bars that will stream the World Cup football matches live. Since the matches kick-off at different times, i.e. 6pm, 8pm, 11pm, 12am, 2am and yes there’s an annoying 3am kick-off as well, the tragedy is that most good matches are scheduled for a 2am kick-off. Which means that not all bars and restaurants may screen all the matches. So before you plan, please ensure the place is actually open that late in the night!

1 altitude

1-ALTITUDE
What compliments high emotions, high passion running during a match? Possibly a place to watch it high-up? That’s what you can expect at the roof top bar 1-Altitude, where all matches will be screened live, irrespective of their late kick-offs. 1-Altitude will place a cover charge of S$35 to S$40 (inclusive of 1 drink). It has been speculated that some special guests will be present for the specific matches like Argentina vs Iceland.

Those who are regulars at Picotin Express either frequent their Bukit Timah outlet for the beautiful view overlooking the golf course or choose the grace of yesteryear architecture at the East Coast. Come 14-Jun-18, and both the outlets will be geared up to host the World Cup 2018 matches. What’s more, throughout the World Cup, Picotin will run a promotion of 1 Pizza + 1 Bucket of Peroni OR Steinlager for just S$60. Picotin is looking to screen the late evening matches, however, you will require to call in ahead and reserve.

With it’s relaxing and sports friendly ambiance, it is not surprising that Boomarang rates highly in list of preferred bistro to watch the World Cup. While their regular closing hours mean that they may not screen the late matches at Boat Quay outlet (jury is still out on that one), at the Robertson Quay outlet you can be sure to catch the 2am kick-offs. Their generous happy hour deal will continue throughout the World Cup from 5pm to 8pm (Monday to Friday).
